He Gave It Up

Hey Guys!

I am so glad that summer is almost here! Sun shine, driving with the windows down, and a little bit of freed up time!

I am looking forward to some awesome things that are going to happen, and some things that have quite a bit of potential that have to do with my ministry in Paraguay! I am in the midst of working out details to share with a couple of groups in a friends home about the work that is left to be done among the tribal people in Paraguay. Right now, I am working on presentations and things to mail out to churches to hopefully get the opportunity to share with even more people that there is a great need among the least reached people that live there.

I am also excited that people have jumped on the bandwagon, and have seen and filled some of the need to help reach those people! I have been so encouraged by the inquires, prayer, and financial support I have received thus far, and I am excited and hopeful at how the Lord is going to continue to work to see the Gospel spread to those least reached people of Paraguay. If you would like to know how you can be involved, please don’t hesitate to ask. There is much left to be done!

As I am preparing to go to Paraguay, I have been praying for many things, but one of the things I have been praying for is my walk with Christ. I desire to live my life to continually glorify and honor the Lord above all else, and how better to do that that to look at Jesus’ life and pray to live like Him, right?! Here it is, out of Philippians 2:

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Though he was God,[a]
he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges[b];
he took the humble position of a slave[c]
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,[d]
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

It is such a struggle, moment by moment, to choose to do things that line up according to Truth. I am SO thankful for a gracious and forgiving Savior that is continually standing in as my mediator before the Father, pleading on my behalf. I am also completely humbled by that fact – the One who gave up His right and privilege to rule and reign died to make a way for a sinner like me to have a relationship with the Living God. . . . blows the mind a little bit, right?!

Would you pray for me, A SINNER that is so thankful for the NEEDED SAVIOR, as I am gearing up to take the Truth to a lost and dying people group? Would you pray for them, that He would work in their hearts even now to prepare them for the time when they will see that they, too, are in need of a Savior? And as always, if there’s anything I can be praying for you about, please let me know! 🙂
